AJ Jain for GA Insurance Commissioner
AJ Will Work For You

Lower Costs. Fair Rates. Real Accountability.

AJ Jain is running for Insurance Commissioner to put consumers first — because you deserve a commissioner who has your back.

"The current system isn’t working, and I’m sick and tired of seeing Georgians taken advantage of by people in positions of power who are supposed to take care of them. This has to change!"

- AJ Jain

AJ understands how insurance companies operate from the inside — and he’ll use his experience to make sure his office works for the people. He will will make your insurance more affordable, more dependable, and fairer. AJ pledges to you:

  • No more automatic rate hikes.
  • No more unfair pricing.
  • No more arbitrary policy cancellations, coverage cuts, or claims denials.
  • And real accountability for insurers. If they’re going to sell coverage to Georgia families, they’ll have to play by Georgia’s rules.
  • On the Issues

AJ Jain will end rubber-stamped rate hikes.

Under the current GOP Insurance Commissioner, Georgia home insurance premiums have shot up more than 30 percent — far faster than inflation. In 2024 alone, families saw an 8% increase. And with extreme weather taking an ever-greater toll, there’s no end in sight. Auto insurance is more expensive than it should be, too — we pay the ninth-highest rates in America.

Insurers shouldn’t be allowed to raise your insurance rates anytime they want. But right now, all a home insurer has to do is announce an increase — no explanation necessary. If the Insurance Commissioner doesn’t block it, your bill automatically goes up.

For six years, our current Insurance Commissioner has let insurance companies write their own rules on rates. He had the power to say no, and he never blocked a single increase.

On auto insurance, it’s a similar story. Rates are up 60% or more Our current Insurance Commissioner says he can’t dictate rates, but the law gives him the power to reject excessive filings — he’s just never done it.

AJ will make every insurer prove they have a good reason before they can charge you more — and if they don’t, he’ll reject the increase, and your rates won’t go up.

  • On the Issues

AJ Jain will hold insurers accountable — so you can count on the coverage you paid for.

Your insurance is supposed to protect you. But too often, when you need it most — like when your truck gets hit or a tree falls on your roof in a storm, or a loved one who had life insurance passes away — you can’t depend on it. Insurance companies delay your payout. They deny your claim. They cut your coverage, or refuse to renew you.

For the past six years, our Republican Insurance Commissioner has been quick to issue press releases and slow to hold insurance companies accountable. His office collects fines — and keeps the money. You're still stuck with a roof you can’t repair or a car you can’t fix.

AJ will make sure that when you pay your premium, you can actually count on your policy. He’ll open investigations against companies that deny claims or delay payouts. And he’ll take companies to court if they cancel your policy illegally.

  • On the Issues

AJ Jain will make sure you don’t pay more because of your ZIP code or credit score.

Auto insurance costs up to 25% more in heavily Black ZIP codes in Georgia than the statewide average — meaning a driver can pay over $1,000 more per year for the same coverage on the same car with the same driving record.

This is modern-day redlining — and in six years, our current GOP Insurance Commissioner has done nothing to stop it.

Similarly, Georgia drivers with poor credit can pay more than twice as much for auto insurance, even if they’ve never had an accident or a ticket. The same goes for home insurance. What does your credit score have to do with whether you're a safe driver or how well you take care of your home?

AJ will press the legislature to outlaw ZIP code and credit score-based pricing entirely.

  • On the Issues

AJ Jain will fight to expand Medicaid and get Georgians covered.

1.3 million Georgians have no health coverage at all, and hundreds of thousands have recently lost Medicaid. Families can’t get the care they need, and rural healthcare facilities are closing.

Georgia has refused to expand Medicaid for more than a decade — and our current Republican Insurance Commissioner has stood with Governor Kemp every step of the way, doing nothing to address the urgent crisis.

As Insurance Commissioner, AJ will work to get every eligible Georgian covered by Georgia Access. He'll fight to keep premiums down on the marketplace. And he'll use the platform of this office to be Georgia's loudest voice for full Medicaid expansion: 40 other states have already done it, and it's long past time Georgia did too.

  • On the Issues

AJ Jain will run an office that works for you.

Two of the last four Republican Insurance Commissioners in Georgia went to prison for fraud. Jim Beck stole more than $2.5 million and was sentenced to over seven years. John Oxendine was sentenced to three and a half years for a healthcare fraud scheme.

    Georgians deserve better.

Too often, Insurance Commissioners are more focused on keeping insurance companies happy — and lining up their next job — than fighting for the people they're supposed to serve.

Under AJ's watch, that changes. No backroom deals. No revolving door. Just showing up every day to get the job done for the people of Georgia.
